Yep. The infamous rules. These are a must-read before you join with a character. The staff at Mystic Falls can alter the rules whenever they choose, so make sure to check here often for any changes or updates. Thanks!

xx. Be respectful and considerate towards your fellow members. If you have a problem with someone, bring it up with a staff member.
xx. Don't steal other's work. This includes (but not limited to) posts, artwork, and characters.
xx. Cursing is allowed in and out of character. Now, I don't mean that you can run around like a child who learned how to speak from someone in the Coast Guard (meaning the F-bomb is dropped in every sentence). Be tasteful or I will have to *BEEP* your words.
xx. No chat speak please- it's frightening and makes you appear immature.

xx. You can have as many characters as your heart desires. That is, as long as you can keep them active by posting with them at least once a week.
xx. ***NEW*** Your character does not have to be accepted before you begin to role-play with them. However, we ask that you still put their information in the creation board.
xx. Foals mature (become adults) when they become three years old. They can then wander off from their parents or home, claim land, and produce offspring.
xx. Stallions may claim land but mares can't. Stallions may also make their own set of rules if they are the leader of that territory.
xx. Characters will age once per year in Mystic Falls (one year=one real-life month).
xx. Although mares cannot claim land, the lead mare may take charge with permission of the lead stallion/if he dies. If force-claimed, the mare must go with the stallion.

xx. You must post at least once a week to be considered active. Please let us know if you're going to be away for some time by leaving a note in the Away board.
xx. Although we are open to all levels of writers, we ask that your posts be a paragraph (four to eight good sentences) length at the least.
xx. Power playing and god-moding are not allowed or accepted. If you're not too sure as to what they are, please check out the FAQ.
xx. No extremely bright or hard to read fonts.

xx. No graphic breeding or foaling.
xx. Breeding is done in the summer and autumn while foaling is only in spring and winter. Remember, there are lower survival rates and higher risks for decencies for those born in winter.
xx. Once done posting, please post the mare's and stallion's stats (there will be a form to use in there if wanted).
xx. Staff will determine the foal's stats and approximate date of birth.
xx. The mare can birth the foal a few days ahead or after the week seeing as mares in real life are hardly ever on time.

xx. Power playing and/or god-moding is an automatic loss for the offender.
xx. The participating members may set up the fighting guidelines in their first posts (or have a set agreement beforehand).
xx. Staff members will select the winner judging on (but not limited to) attacks, wounds, and post quality.
xx. If your challenge isn't answered within a week (it doesn't count if the player is on vacation and left a note), then you win by default.

xx. Signature image cannot be bigger than 500 pixels wide and 500 pixels tall. Also, no inappropriate images or links may be in signatures.
xx. Each season lasts one real-life week. Therefore, each year is one real-life month.
