Introduce Yourself
Let's find out who we are and where we belong. What we like and what we hate- mold ourselves for and against this new society. We are new here, able to set our own laws upon the skin of this healing land. What to do, what to do?

Our predecessors have set up their own system and we honor it. The Lights, the Darks, the Rebels. Conformity by any other name. But is it really? Peer closer and you can see that we don’t conform all too well- we see mild-mannered darks and half-crazed lights. And those who choose to Rebel? Well, they’re themselves, conforming against conformity.

But what about you? You have a choice wanderer. Which side will you choose in this passive war, to whom will you give your loyalty?

Finally got internet! I'm slowly working on a new skin and everything for the site. My Platoon Sergeants don't let us use our computers or anything until after 4:30 on weekdays, not sure about weekends.
I'll soon be looking for new staff members as well as holding another royalty audition. Start getting active everyone! ^^

Forecast

The days grow hotter, but be thankful. Rainshowers are frequent, spilling cold water onto the horse's hot backs.

This is the season for foaling.

B.a.N.e

Can you feel your heartbeat racing?
Can you taste the fear in her sweat?
You've done this wrong
It's too far gone
These sheets tell of regret
I admit that I'm just a fool for you
I am just a fool for you

At the very top of the hill, eluminated against the sky, was the shape of a stallion. Bane, in fact. The very handsome Spanish Mustang reared, letting out a long cry of triumph, triumph for him making it to the top of this damned hill. The dark diablo's daggers thudded as they reconnected with the hard ground, his nostrils flaring as he snorted.

Bane then turned, looking around absently for any other equine, though he could not see any. Still, he threw his head back and let loose another cry, this time one of calling. If it was a stallion that responded, light or dark, perhaps he would challenge him for the hell of it. If it was a light mare, he would harass her and even go as far as to knock her around a bit. However, if it was a dark banshee, he would flirt with her, as he always did.

He then lowered his head and stood patiently, simply waiting to see if anyone would come. If they did, excellent. And if not, well, it didn't make much a difference to him.

Tonight's your last chance to
Do exactly what you want to
And this could be my night
This is what makes me feel alive
Makes you feel alive
Here is where we both go wrong
So tie me up
And toss this key
Because for now we're living

Vegas

Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
Watch it count down to the end of the day
The clock ticks life away
It's so unreal

The horizon glowed as the light began to fade, the sun pouring its last ray's over the terrain. Grass casted long forlorn shadows as dark gray clouds hung draggingly and menacingly low in a complete contrast to the brilliantly pink sky. Every sign of life had vanished from the field it seemed, being late in the afternoon and growing cold all equines would have retreated for the day. Back to their homes, families or patheticly new acquainted lovers who did not know a thing about each other but shared the same idea that with love everything would be perfect.

This seemed to show a line between the good, and the evil. Being good though was no fun. Utterly boring and completely pathetic. And anyway, who would want to be good, when you can be deliciously evil? The thought was puzzling.

Silent daggers treaded this earth alone, piercing hoof sunk into the soft dirt and spraying loose soil about, before dragging forth to take the next step, and the next necessary breath. Thrice a forleg stained an ivory, four pistons of a ebony shade. The equine's bodice was a silky copper, and as as she trod her muscles rippled menacingly beneath her glossy pelt. Midnight tresses billowed out and cascaded flawlessly.

Her face revealed the most though. With a arched serpentine, dished face, broad length, and hazel orbs that seemed to continue endlessly the vixen was truly lovely. But her nature was quite different. She would never stoop as low as the Lights do. No, she was dark. The confident, taunting stride she had gave that part of her away. The fae's dial had dropped low as she let her flared nares take in the scent of life. With a startled realization she caught the scent of a equine, who was roaming still as well.

With a sense of curiosity, the fae changed direction and headed towards where the equine was most likely to be. The horse was surly upwind of her. She walked nonchalantly, not caring enough to quicken her pace. She had all the time in the world to get there. ...Okay, that's a lie, but she certainly was not going to waste her energy for some equine that was most likely some pathetic light.

As she lengthened her pace she gained upon a series of hills, and figured that she might get a better view if she climbed up. Right before she was about to continue though, the equine let out a call, and was surprisingly close. On top of the hill she had been about to climb in fact. With a toss of her mane she climbed the hill, and turned to see the equine.

He was a Spanish mustang by the looks of it, and by the way he stood, it was pretty clear that he wasn't light. against her normally critical nature, her immediate thought afterward was that he wasn't unfortunate in appearance, in fact he was definitely fortunate, but she certainly wouldn't give that thought away by her expression, and she attempted to remain expressionless. Despite herself the fae smirked in greeting, and raised her eyebrows in expectation of words. The smirk was open, but had a sense of some unidentifiable emotion that defined her as a dark, who was certainly capable of survival. Anyway, If he didn't speak, she supposed she could begin, but frankly, that tactic didn't really appeal to her.

Didn't look out below
Watch the time go right out the window
Tried to hold on, but didn't even know
I wasted it all just to watch you go

B.a.N.e

Is it still me that makes you sweat?
Am I who you think about in bed?
When the lights are dim and your hands are shaking as you're sliding off your dress?

As the Spanish Mustang brute stood there, he began aware of many things. One was that it was getting dark, though that had been nagging at the back of his mind for a while. But, alas, Bane didn't mind. In fact, he preffered the dark, though it was slightly chilly out-- another thing he noticed. The cold bit at his beautiful pelt, though he paid no attention. He was born to live through the cold, rain, and many other conditions. It was simply part of being a wild equine.

It was not as if the brute had anywhere to go, anyways. He was a loner, never daring to tie himself to a herd, such a big responsibility. Who would want to join his herd, anways? They did, after all, call him mental...perhaps he was. Bane chuckled at the thought. Well, his brain stream certainly was twisted. Incredibly so, in fact. That was exactly why Bane thought he was insane, as well.

Just by looking at the diablo, you wouldn't be able to tell. No, he appeared mostly as he was; dark, and dangerous. And Bane wouldn't have it any other way. He was just how the wanted to be. He had, after all, molded and shaped himself. Many years ago, he had the chance to be a sweet, innocent, pathetic light. But he didn't want that. Bane wanted to be perfectly insane, wanted to be cruel, vain, and...himself.

It was at that moment that Bane noticed another approaching, apparently responding to his call. His head wa turned towards the equines shape, which he could see rising steadily over the hill. He sneered, bracing himself for some simple-minded light that he would cruely laugh at, and then blantly toy with until he grew bored. Then, perhaps, he would have his own sort of fun with them, before leaving them broken. Which was exactly why he was surprised at what he saw.

It was a mare, and by the way that she carried herself, he guessed that she was dark. This was only confirmed in his mind when she smirked at him, a smirk that left no doubt in his mind that she was as sinister as he was. Her eyebrows were raised, obviously waiting for him to speak first. So, with that, he turned his muscled bodice towards her, smirking in return. "Well, hello. I was starting to wonder if anyone heard my call. And, how delightful, a dark at that." He murmured in his low, slightly seductive tone. "My calling is Bane, m' dear. And yours?"

Then think of what you did
And how I hope to God he was worth it.
When the lights are dim and your heart is [i]racing

as your fingers touch his skin

Vegas

I kept everything inside
And even though I tried
It all fell apart
What it meant to me
Will eventually be
A memory
Of a time

As the stag turned and smirked in return, the fae nonchalantly searched his expression, it was every bit as dark as hers was initially, but there was a ghost of a expression wearing off behind it, from the most recent expression he had most likely held. It was surprise. The femme's amused pleasure at the thought that he had expected a light was of an unusual amount, but the femme ignored this.

Instead she raised her eyes to his and made a firm contact as it appeared he prepared to speak. His words came soon after, and for what was probably former surprise was extremely composed now, which was impressive for a dark stag. Most of them forgot composure and ran around with any emotion they could muster, screaming 'oooooh I'm a dark be afraid of me. I will kill you.' It was so beyond hilarious it was pathetic and sickening.

Well, hello. I was starting to wonder if anyone heard my call. And, how delightful, a dark at that. his words were smooth and natural, amusing at that. Because it was a sort of greeting a light might use, and yet it was so incredibly far from that. The femme's smirk returned, and her response came easily. mmm, it is delightful isn't it? she murmured in return, a seductive smirk replacing the other.

My calling is Bane, m' dear. And yours? His words were of the same tone, if not more seductive. Pleasure to meet you Bane, And If I recall correctly, My calling is Vegas. Her liquid amber optics shimmered in mild amusement. Then with a tint of question in her seductive smirk, she let loose an inquiry And what brings you here Bane?

I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter.
